Project description:
The Rotary Club Zenica has already started this project and three students, orphans, are placed in the facility PI "Home - family" in Zenica. The Rotary Club Zenica provided 1.500,00 EUR from local companies and own funds and assigned it to three students as ten-months scholarships. This amount is enough to cover the 2018/2019 school year for a period April 2019 - January 2020 (10 months). PI "Home - family" recommended students that meet criteria and that recommendation was accepted by Management Board of Rotary Club Zenica. Rotary Club Zenica signed contract for scholarship with each of three students separately and scholarship is transferring from bank account of Rotary Club Zenica to bank account of each student. Rotary Club Zenica disbursed scholarship for three months for these three students up to date.
The main goal of this project is to provide support in schooling children without parents, to motivate them in education, society values, improve their social skills and self-confidence.
Another goal is to provide opportunities for students to learn in practice during summer holydays in local companies. In that way, they will improve social and business skills, make new social network, increase self-confidence and make positive impression of themselves and their abilities. In that way, students are more prepared for labor market and make more chances to find a good job.
The Rotary Club Zenica requests in this project amount of 4500,00 EUR to cover scholarships in the next three years for three students, orphans placed in PI "Home-family" Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This project has a very motivating role for students because it improves their quality of life. Once, when they assigned scholarship contract, students are obligated to learn hard and regularly take exams. A student, who doesn't pass a college year, loses the right to have a scholarship in the next school year.
This project is a big motivation for other students without parental care to achieve better success in high school so one day, they could be beneficiaries of this project, too.
Sustainability:
The aim is to support three students until they finish their educational process. We won't change the beneficiaries unless they do not match our expectations and criteria. In order to continue to be financed, they have to sign in the next school year.
Once when students improve their professional and social skills, they will know how to use it in the future. Local companies will have opportunities to recognize a good employee, invest in them and offer them a job.
We are sure that these students, who are now underprivileged, will help others when they get the opportunity. Thus, we call the "Circle of Good Will". Once, you got help you will be willing to help others, too.
