A joint project "Rotary Central Bosnia Camp 2025" following the example of last year's "Danube Camp" for children.

Text

Goal

We see this project as a means of understanding and peace, reducing
cultural prejudices and strengthening the connection of Rotarians for children
in our two cantons and Austria. This is a project intended for young people who
will one day be our future Rotarians. The key goals for children are learning
about diversity, intercultural experience, education and creating new
friendships among future Rotarians

Finance

Financial
support: The budget was financed by the RC Zenica and RC Sarajevo clubs from
both cantons and District grants. The participation of Ministries from our
cantons is possible. The estimated estimated cost for one child is 55 EUR/day.

Roughly 10 days
of camp activities are planned.

There is also an
option for parents to participate in the financing of costs, in the minimum
amount of 30% of the total costs of one child's stay.

If there is a
surplus of funds after the implementation of the project and the accurate
accounting of covering all costs, the rest will be used for future Rotary
projects for the community.

Each club in the
district can express their appreciation for the project through a donation. We
hope that each club will donate at least €300.

Sponsorship for a
young participant, at least €500. The children will introduce themselves to the
sponsoring club and stay in touch and report from start to finish - thus
ensuring Rotarian "progeny".

If we take into account that a maximum
participation of 20 boys and girls is expected, the maximum amount needed to
cover costs would be EUR 11.000.

General

The Rotary Club of Zenica proposes a joint project called "Rotary Central Bosnia Camp 2025". Cooperation on the project is planned with the Rotary Club of Sarajevo and with Rotary Clubs from Austria, which were participants in the "Danube Camp" last year.

This project will be implemented in partnership with the "Union of Scouts of the City of Zenica", with whom we have previously successfully cooperated, achieving outstanding results. Another source of organizational and operational support we have is the Minister of Finance of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, who has more than 30 years of experience working with scouts. She also organized many international youth meetings and camps. The camp period is scheduled for July 5 - July 15, 2025.

Up to 20 young participants are expected, half from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and half from Austria.

The group of participants should include an equal number of girls and boys around 13 years of age. We want to create a space without judgment and prejudice for our participants, and children are more inclined to tolerance. The project would include 3 to 4 trainers who would supervise and work with the children during certain activities (dance, aero club, informatics, etc.). This project would also involve volunteer work, with 4 volunteers.

Regarding reporting for this project, consent was secured from Paul A.
Slatin, DRFCC [2023-2026], to move the reporting deadline, which is normally
